How To Import File From Autocad to 3ds Max 2009

Okayyy now we`re at the rendering part. I usually using 3dsMax 2009 for rendering model. But, we have to import autocad file to 3ds Max 2009 first. Follow the steps below :

1. Open your 3dsMax 2009 program or other version of it. Click File ----> Import. Then the import box dialog will show. Search your dwg file on your folder, choose file of type is DWG. See the pic below :

2. Now check all the box. Pay attention on the units box, i choose CENTIMETERS cos i drew in centimeter in autocad. Customize the units depends what units you using when you draw in Autocad. Then click OK. See the pic below :

3. The pic below is when your dwg file is already on 3dsMax 2009. You can SAVE AS 3dsMax file now.

Btw, i upload our simple house file, just click on download button below.

You can use the file for practise when we`re at the apply material tutorial.

If you have question, feel free to ask me :)

Cheers,
Jaenne
