Molly Shannon joining 'The Talk'. Molly Shannon will join "The Talk" as a guest host for the month of September when the show returns amid tumult next Tuesday.A source close to Shannon tells Gossip Cop she will guest host, which could lead to a permanent gig on the panel. The "Saturday Night Live" alum will appear alongside Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood.

Osbourne is due to take a hiatus, opening room for another guest host, Kris Jenner.

Original co-hosts Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete have left the program.
